Visualization Projects
Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator are essential tools for digital art and image manipulation. My introduction to these platforms came through TWC 411, where I developed vital skills through open-ended projects. I created a personal logo and a community action poster promoting urban gardening, focusing on strong calls to action and appealing design.

Adobe Photoshop
Learning Adobe's extensive tools was challenging, requiring many YouTube tutorials and practice—especially mastering the pen tool. My projects showcased my ability to revise and refine ideas effectively.

Adobe Illustrator
The poster demonstrated my understanding of local issues and my ability to apply concepts to my community. By incorporating persuasive design elements and focused messaging, I encouraged urban gardening in my city while honing my Adobe skills.

Microsoft Excel
GIT 314 started with a complex Excel sheet filled with long descriptions, financial numbers, and unfamiliar units of water measurement. At first, it felt like a tangled mess, but I had the opportunity to organize and simplify the data.
Normalizing data helps make extensive lists understandable, while data visualization enhances its appeal. With Excel’s numerous chart options, I learned to select visuals that effectively conveyed my message. Through this project, I transformed raw data into clear, custom visuals and presented a compelling argument to a panel of water conservation experts. It was a demanding experience but one of the best simulations of real job scenarios.
